JAMAICA, NY, September 9, 2011 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Caroline Alexander, MD, Ophthalmologist, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in ophthalmology.
Dr. Alexander specializes in the treatment and diagnosis of glaucoma and cataracts, and oculoplastic surgery. She assists patients in achieving clear vision at her Jamaica and New Hyde Park offices. She is part of the faculty at Nassau University Medical Center, where she staffs the resident surgeries.
Influenced by her family members, who established a long-running family practice in ophthalmology, Dr. Alexander was inspired to pursue a career in the field, and she has revealed herself as a medical professional who is capable of providing first-rate services for patients. She received a 2010 Woman of the Year Award as granted by the National Association of Professional Women, and she continues to strive for excellence in her professional endeavors. She earned an MD from Ross University and went on to complete an opthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center. She is a member of the Long Island Ophthalmological Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Medical State Society of New York, and the National Association of Professional Women.
