GUNNISON, CO, August 25, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tyler Fleck, Certified Hand Therapist, Bilingual Medical Professional and Director of Rehabilitation Services for Gunnison Valley Health System, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in post-surgical splinting, casting and outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation as a Certified Hand Therapist as well as an industrial rehabilitation and ergonomics assessment specialist.

Mr. Fleck has spent the last three years as the Director of Rehabilitation Services for Gunnison Valley Health System. He is primarily responsible for directing physical and occupational therapists who provide both inpatient and outpatient services. He also performs postsurgical splinting/casting and treats patients who have sustained trauma and sports- and industrial-related injuries. In addition, Mr. Fleck is frequently called upon to lend his services to companies in the form of return-to-work screenings and tests on recent hires. Over his 12-year professional career, he has found his bilingualism in English and Spanish to be a boon when he is assisting patients whose first language is not English.

In 1999, Mr. Fleck earned a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Rockhurst University. Prior to this, he graduated from Missouri Western State University with a Bachelor of Science in psychology. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Fleck has earned credentials as an occupational therapist registered, certified hand therapist and certified ergonomic assessment specialist. Dedicated to maintaining his expertise, he is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists. Mr. Fleck also holds the distinction of having created and copyrighted a clinical anatomy medical text and board game.
