JACKONSVILLE, FL, August 29, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas Anderson, PA-C, a physician assistant for Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in physician's surgery assistance.
Mr. Anderson became involved in his profession because he was always interested in medicine, and he discovered his particular specialty, heart surgery, in college. He has since gained 25 years of experience as a physician assistant currently at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. His areas of expertise include assisting with heart surgeries including transplants, and meeting with and performing preoperative and postoperative care for patients.
Mr. Anderson, who attributes his success to his hard work and dedication, received a Bachelor of Science in microlaboratory science in 1982 from Northeastern University and physician assistant certification in 1986 from Wake Forest University. He is a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiovascular Surgery. In five years, Mr. Anderson hopes to continue to hone his skills and keep up to date with new advances in the medical field.
