A former military doctor, Dr. Carroll Osgood is board-certified in noninvasive vascular technology
ALTOONA, PA, July 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carroll P. Osgood, MD, Neurosurgeon at Altoona Regional Health System, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Neurosurgery. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
Specializing in neurosurgery, Dr. Osgood has more than four decades of experience in the health care industry. He practices at Altoona Regional Health System, which offers patients a holistic approach to pain relief for issues such as back pain, whiplash and neurological conditions. Dr. Osgood also serves as the medical director of the noninvasive vascular lbab at Altoona Regional Health System. He is board-certified in noninvasive vascular technology. A former military doctor, he served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1968.
Dr. Osgood earned an MD from Thomas Jefferson University in 1965. He previously graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry. His professional affiliations include the Pennsylvania Medical Society, American Medical Association and American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Osgood is an elder of his local church and a board member and former president of his local YMCA.
