He is the Medical Director of The Center for Colorectal Health in the Virginia/DC Area and is in charge of the GI lab in Inova Alexandria Hospital.

He is quite proud of the outcome he receives when treating a patient through the utilization of Laparoscopic surgery. The recovery period and results are far superior to the old-fashioned open surgical techniques. Dr. Alshkaki completed his residency in General Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University located in Portland, Oregon as well as yearlong fellowships in the fields of General, Bariatric and Advanced Laparoscopic surgery.
