Brenda J. Hunter has received numerous awards
FREDERICKSBURG, VA, June 11, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brenda J. Hunter, Registered Nurse for Mary Washington Healthcare, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing.
Ms. Hunter has 31 years of overall professional experience. As a registered nurse, she is responsible for caring for patients with neurology, spine, brain, and post cardiac and trauma surgery, and attending to patients in the surgery. Prior to her current position, she worked as a surgical technologist and served in the United States Navy. She became involved in her profession because of her personal experience in taking care of her father, who was disabled.
In 2007, Ms. Hunter received her Associate Degree, Magna Cum Laude in Allied Health and Nursing Sciences from Germanna Community College. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Human Resources, Summa Cum Laude, in 1995 from Southern New Hampshire University, and her Associate of Liberal Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in 1993 from Central Texas College. She is a member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
More than 100 years ago, Mary Washington Healthcare began as an eight-room hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Today, it has evolved into a not-for-profit regional system of two hospitals and 28 healthcare facilities and wellness services. The hospital achieved magnet status September 2009.
