Cristy Cathey recognized for over 30 years of invaluable contributions to the nursing field

Cristy Cathey is a nursing specialist, having accumulated over three decades of professional experience in the healthcare field. Best noted for her work in the operating room, she expertly assists doctors with orthopedic and plastic surgeries. Ms. Cathey consults with patients, assists in administering anesthesia, prepares instruments for surgery and oversees pre- and post-operative patient care. She also acts as a point of contact for families and offers education regarding medical procedures and policies. Recognized as an authority in her field, she is equipped to train and support fellow nursing professionals.

Driven by the desire to make a difference in the lives of others, Ms. Cathey made the decision to pursue a career in nursing. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and attributes her success to hard work and her perseverant nature. As she moves forward in her career, Ms. Cathey intends to shift her career focus from the operating room to home healthcare nursing.

Ms. Cathey holds a bachelor of science in nursing from Walla Walla College. She is a member of the Association of Perioperative Operating Room Nurses and is an affiliate of the Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Outside of work, Ms. Cathey enjoys long-distance bike riding, golfing and volunteering with the Red Cross and MS Society.
