While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named professionals of the year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements and leadership abilities.

Orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Robert B. Zann has dedicated nearly three decades of his career to the residents of Palm Beach County as a distinguished healthcare professional. An industry expert and renowned authority on orthopaedic care and surgery, Dr. Zann has handled an excess of 10,000 surgical cases over the years. He is best noted for his extensive knowledge of hip and knee replacements. In fact, he performs over 600 of these types of surgery annually. Board Certified in Orthopaedics by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he has participated in numerous clinical studies to provide data on implant results in patient populations. Dr. Zann works extensively alongside various implant manufacturers to assist in the research and development of state-of-the-art technology as it relates to total joint replacement.

Dr. Zann earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and is a graduate of the University of Michigan. He completed fellowship training in adult reconstructive surgery and total joint replacement at the University of Southern California, where he served as a clinical instructor. He also completed residencies in general and orthopaedic surgery at New York Medical College. He is currently affiliated with Boca Raton Community Hospital and Delray Medical Center, and served as chair of the Department of Surgery at Bethesda Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Zann is an affiliate of the Southern Orthopaedic Association, the Palm Beach County Orthopaedic Society, the Palm Beach County Medical Society, the Florida Physicians Association, the Florida Orthopaedic Society, the Florida Medical Association, the Eastern Orthopaedic Association, the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
