Katherine has been with the practice since its inception, starting as Dr. McGovern's Registered Nurse First Assistant. During her educational career, Katherine obtained hospital based training to become a Registered Nurse at Townsville General Hospital in 1983. She is also Certified as a Laser Safety Officer, Paramedical Aesthetician, Paramedical Camouflage Aesthetician and Green Peel Practitioner. In addition she is certified in Facial Beauty Therapy. Katherine is a member of the American Society of Skin Care Specialists, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Nurses Association of Australia and New Zealand, and the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses.
