Christie J. Sposeto takes pride in delivering high quality care for patients

DES MOINES, IA, November 09, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Christie J. Sposeto, President of Sposeto & Davis Clinical Consulting, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Health Care Consulting. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named professionals of the year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements and leadership abilities.

From a young age, Christie J. Sposeto aspired to positively influence the lives of others. While in high school, she began taking nursing courses and graduated as a licensed practical nurse. Following her commencement, she worked at her local long-term psychiatric hospital for five years. She went on to serve as a critical care charge nurse at a VA hospital, where she managed nursing staff to ensure that patients' needs were assessed and evaluated, and that proper courses of treatment were implemented.

In 1991, Ms. Sposeto received an associate degree in nursing from Des Moines Area Community College. She earned a bachelor of science in nursing from The University of Iowa in 2003 and a master of science in nursing from the University of Phoenix just last year, in 2009. She acquired the designation of certified legal nurse consultant this year.

Currently, Ms. Sposeto serves as the president of Sposeto & Davis Clinical Consulting. Drawing on 31 years of experience in critical care and surgical nursing, she expertly delivers consultations for legal nurses. As the president of the center, she reviews and analyzes all types of medical records, including defense and prosecution documents. She also conducts research on evidence-based care for complex and critically ill patients, locates other experts within the health care field, assists attorneys and clients with medical malpractice, toxic tort and product cases, and searches for expert witnesses and testifiers.

In addition to her work with Sposeto & Davis Clinical Consulting, Ms. Sposeto assumes the role of Nurse Manager for the Medical/Surgical Unit at Clarke County Hospital. In this position, she manages a staff of 35-40 people in delivering quality, patient driven care. She also mentors nursing students through the University of Phoenix.

Ms. Sposeto is an active member of the Iowa Nurses Association, The American Nurses Association, Inc. and the National Alliance for Certified Legal Nurse Consultants. A strong supporter of the idea that every patient deserves the finest health care, she aspires to become a full-time consultant in the coming years.
