Murman, MS, RPA-C, Physician Assistant for the Department of Neurological Surgery at Stony Brook University Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of medical assistance.

As a physician assistant at Stony Brook University Medical Center, Mr. Murman specializes in the provision of medical support during brain, spinal and neurological surgeries. At his post, he is responsible for handling patient consultations in the emergency room, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, assisting physicians in the emergency room, working with patients with the supervision of physicians, and providing hands-on ECG interpretation training. He notes that a love for working with people prompted him to become involved in his profession, and considers performing his first surgery to be the highlight of his career thus far.

Perseverance and hard work are the undisputed keys to Mr. Murman's success. He earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and his Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a concentration in environmental protection, from Stony Brook University in 2007 and 2005 respectively. He is a member of the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, Inc. and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He volunteers for the East Northport Fire Department and aspires to earn his Ph.D. in bioethics, with a concentration in medical ethics.
