PLASTIC SURGERY COPYWRITER LAUNCHES GUY'S GUIDE TO PLASTIC SURGERY FOR MEN
Women are no longer the only ones who desire to enhance their appearances with a cosmetic medical treatment. Thanks to a new site focusing exclusively on male plastic surgery, men can also quickly and easily find a plastic surgeon, as well as the information they need to make an informed decision.
/Surgery News Articles/ - PASO ROBLES, CA, February 14, 2008 — According to the results of a survey recently released by The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), male plastic surgery in the U.K. increased 17.5% in 2007. And although The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) has yet to release numbers for procedures performed in the U.S. in 2007, the fact is plastic surgery for men accounted for 1,107,048 of the cosmetic procedures performed in 2006. So, it's safe to say that women are no longer the only ones who want to look their best. And, they're not the only ones looking to plastic surgery to help them do just that. But, it isn't as easy for a man to find the information online that he needs to make an educated decision about his body. That's because most industry sites have focused primarily on the concerns of women, dedicating just a page or two to procedures for men. Most still do. One doesn't-the Guy's Guide to Plastic Surgery.
The Guy's Guide to Plastic Surgery was written by Mike Roe, a plastic surgery copywriter who in 2006 and 2007 authored hundreds of Web site pages for plastic surgeons across the country. In the process, he says it became apparent that while plastic surgery for men was on the rise around the world, the Web didn't reflect the trend. Roe says, "With the Guy's Guide to Plastic Surgery, I wanted to not only provide some basic information about today's most popular male plastic surgery procedures, but I also wanted the pages to be tailored to the unique concerns of men. Finally, I wanted the information to be presented in a way that's allows a man to find the facts about plastic surgery fast."
Those facts include impartial information about 14 of today's most popular procedures including:
• Male breast reduction (gynecomastia)
• Laser hair removal
• Liposuction
• Men using BOTOX Cosmetic
• Rhinoplasty
Each page also includes a convenient table where, at a glance, a man can learn about everything from a procedure's cost and how many were performed on men in 2006, to how long the procedure or treatment is likely to take and how long he might expect to be away from work and the activities he enjoys.
"I'm not a doctor," says Roe, "and nothing can or should replace a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist. So, at the Guy's Guide to Plastic Surgery, men will also find a convenient list of doctors in their state, so they can find a plastic surgeon close to home."
The fact is women can often easily find the information about a cosmetic medical treatment, either online or in one of the many beauty and fashion magazines that regularly feature articles on plastic surgery. Men? Well, it wasn't so easy to find the facts about plastic surgery. Now it is, thanks to The Guy's Guide to Plastic Surgery for Men and plastic surgery copywriter, Mike Roe.
